Do you know that we are loosing 10% in processing it to white rice? Incredible!

This 43 millions tons extra would mean that… we could feed, in a perfect world, nearly 287 millions more persons!

Situation – What Is Going On With Rice

  • the average rice consumed per year is 300 pounds per person in Asia
  • loss of 10%  in processing brown rice to white rice
  • in numbers that 10% is 43 millions tons
  • brown rice is harder to eat
  • not as flavorful than the white rice
  • take longer to cook

Challenge – Cooking Brown Rice

  • make it faster to cook
  • give it a better taste, even a nutty one
  • raise vitamins and minerals
  • lower some not so beneficial nutriments

Solution – Use Germinated Brown Rice Aka GBR or Gaba

  • rice can pre-germinate, either at home or commercially
  • I admit not all countries have gaba rice available like in Japan for example
  • it is a great business opportunity for entrepreneurs to implement gaba rice all around the world
  • that 43 millions extra tons, which is the 10% lost in processing brown rice to white rice, could feed  287 millions more persons!
